Tetra Pak CPS Capabilities

CIP systems can be offered as free standing, skid mounted or even mobile. Typically skid mounted units are now most popular. These are designed to allow main components to be secured to one common stainless steel frame enabling the system to be pre-piped and wired. The benefits of this approach are that it allows the pre-testing of the unit prior to despatch and minimises site time during installation. This promotes time/cost savings and provides some flexibility for the customer to relocate the system in the future if required.

Tetra Pak CPS offers extensive experience in all scales of CIP systems and has installed over two hundred units within the UK and across Europe. The challenges presented and the knowledge gained allows Tetra Pak CPS to offer a full range of CIP solutions from a single tank electrically heated system to multi tank, multi channel systems.

The CIP experience Tetra Pak CPS has gained over the years has provided the Company with the ability to advise on and implement the latest technology with great skill and confidence. For example, in recent years, electronic paperless chart recorders have become more favourable over the conventional circular chart recorder for data logging and traceability of CIP cleans. Such units can store a number of cleans which can be downloaded into a remote PC using a PCMCIA media card. This enables records to be stored long term and also allows detailed analysis in graphical form and the ability to print to a desktop printer.

Control System Flexibility

Tetra Pak CPS has a broad range of process and associated control knowledge. The Company's R & D together with customer/user feedback provides Tetra Pak CPS with invaluable information encouraging continuous optimisation of its systems. We offer great flexibility in terms of control packages and have successfully commissioned Telemecanique, Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLC controlled systems. Systems can be either stand-alone or networked allowing full communication and control utilising any of the industrial Fieldbus platforms and protocols, such as Profibus, DeviceNet and ASi networks. An operator interface (HMI) allows full control and feedback of plant performance. These systems can incorporate communication to other party's control systems via a higher level protocol such as ControlNet, Siemens MPI and Ethernet (TCP/IP).
